Maria Polesky, violin, and Dr. Scott Elsholz, organ, will premiere a new work for violin and organ composed by David Sinden.

The piece, which was commissioned by Dr. Elsholz, will be premiered at St. Louis Church in Memphis, Tenn., on Monday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m., as part of a recital called “Litanies and Laments.” The recital features the newly renovated Casavant organ at St. Louis Church, and includes music by J. S. Bach, Marcel Dupré, Jehan Alain, and Samuel Barber.
